Norton House is a small, family run care home situated in Elland, in the heart of West Yorkshire. Norton House prides itself on delivering the highest quality of personalised care in a relaxed and homely setting. We accommodate respite and permanent residential care placements in all of our 21 rooms.
It is conveniently located not far from the M62 motorway with public transport links nearby making it easily accessible.
The Team
Our expert care team are highly trained, professionally developed and valued so they can provide the exceptional and compassionate care our families should expect. This is evident in the fact that most of our staff have worked at Norton House over a number of years. The home manager has a wealth of experience in delivering high quality care and is committed to supporting the team at Norton House to ensure that the care provided is of the very highest standard.
The Home Environment
The environment at Norton House is one which promotes personal choice and independence with our dedicated staff providing outstanding round the clock care for all our residents. In addition to offering high quality care, Norton House is decorated and furnished throughout to a very high standard with facilities to enable our residents and families to enjoy spending quality time together. In fact, it has been commented many times by visitors that it is more of a ‘family house than a care home’. Norton House is a converted mill owners house which comprises of two floor areas.
The Ground Floor
The ground floor lounge is the focal point for residents to socialise or enjoy time with their family. In addition we also have a conservatory and a quiet lounge, where residents can spend time together or just enjoy some quiet, peaceful time, overlooking the garden area. We know how important mealtimes are at Norton House, in view of this we have a dedicated dining room where our in house chef makes a choice of home cooked and nutritious dishes for our residents on a daily basis.
The Rooms
Residents can relax and unwind in complete comfort at Norton House. All our bedrooms are en-suite and are decorated to a high standard throughout.
Services
The internet is available throughout Norton House for our resident’s enjoyment. We also have a hairdresser and chiropodist that visit on a regular basis to attend to residents’ individual needs (at a supplementary cost). On admission to the home, if there are any other specific requests of services required, Norton House will try and accommodate these as best they can. It is Norton House’s aim to ensure residents feel relaxed and comfortable as possible, as though they are living in their own home.
Fees
Our fees for our care services are very competitive in our market. We are upfront about how much are exceptional care will cost giving you full transparency so you can financially plan for the future. As our rooms vary in size and facilities there is a range in price. Once you have decided to move your loved one into Norton House, we will then conduct a comprehensive assessment of their needs which will then enable us to confirm the weekly fee for the care we will provide.
